The Songwriting Chic grew up in East Chicago, Indiana(a small suburb right outside of Chicago, Illinois and a jump, skip, and a hop away from Gary, Indiana(Home town of the famous Jackson 5). She recorded her first demo at the tender age of 14 with the money she saved up from working. After graduating high school, with her demo in tow, she moved to Atlanta and enrolled in college. Shortly after, her demo got the attention of record label Soso def. She landed an internship at Icon recording studios under the mentorship of music veteran and film producer Ian Burke. She has written songs and lyrics for up and coming artists and has worked with many producers. She’s a unique talent and she has the ability to write unique lyrics and vocal produce the song from beginning to end. You will be in for a treat after hearing her signature backgrounds and harmonies. She is an over achiever and strives to learn as much as possible about the music business. In addition to songwriting, she has attended Full Sail university and is currently continuing her music education by studying sound production. Her ultimate goal is to create her own genre. You can find her at the studio laying down fresh ideas. She is also a media correspondent and a mental health advocate, so you may see her at an event interviewing some of your favorite public figures.
